Have you seen a white van man
Selling speakers when he can
Rather nice at half the price
Your ears are easy to entice
But just beware this charming chap
Lest by some unfortunate mishap
You chance to find these men are crooks
With minds to match their shifty looks.
shrinking bikes
Something came in the night
And shrank all the bicycles.
Their riders returned to find them smaller than before
Titchy in fact, really not the bikes they left
Trusting they'd be the same size the next day
Which they aren't
Being shrunken.
The cyclists grasp on perilously narrowed handlebars,
Hunched over grimly comical
Swaying like penguins
Grappling with mechanical skeletons
Pedalling with kneecaps knocking on jawbones
And loom large over their trusty, if reduced in stature, steeds,
Hoping to make it to the next port of call
Without a further reduction in size.
