On the Trail of the Pineapple - part three

(In which Father makes a Victor's Breakfast)

I was woken up by my daughter early, she was looking for the Pineapple Crusher. It took time dressing, climbing into the loft to find the Crusher and topping up the fuel although it still came as a surprise to find that the pineapple had mysteriously disappeared. I followed the trail and it seems that the pineapple had been dragged back to a rabbit warren. I supposed tht the rabbits would soon tire of their burden and dispose of the pineapple. I was in no mood to wait but luckily Kiwi wanted to wait and see if she could catch the pineapple. I left her with the crusher and went to work.

It turned out to be a long day, the contractors were not fireing properly and the internal suggestion sprockets were in inoperable condition we had to open the the reducing basket and recoil the production set. When I arrived home It was already dark Kiwi was out and I went to bed after a quick snack.

I was eating breakfast the next morning when Kiwi returned. She'd forgotten the crusher but had the husk of the pineapple. I made her a victors breakfast and went out to get the crusher. There were footprints in the earth around the hole, the crusher was nowhere to be seen and although I heard nothing there was the feel of music hanging in the air. I beant down to listen but the occupants of the hole weren't revealing their presence. I looked a little further, it grew cold as clouds crossed the sun and I returned to the house.
